"I’m in the process of reading and finalising scripts, I intend to get back to work by September 2012,” says Lara Dutta who, following the birth of her baby on January 20, has been on maternity leave. “I will also be producing another film under my banner, Bheegi Basanti Entertainment, by the end of the year. My script is ready, I’m working on putting the project together.”
The 33-year-old actor-producer married tennis ace Mahesh Bhupathi on February 16, 2011, in Goa. Lara, a hand-on mummy, admits that having a baby is a life-changing experience. “Your priorities shift and the focus automatically becomes the baby. All my decisions are now made keeping what’s best for our daughter. It’s the same with Mahesh,” she says.
So is her darling showing signs of following in her mamma’s footsteps or will she be bouncing tennis balls with daddy? Lara smiles, “She is only three months old and is too small for us to project our desires and dreams on her. I’m sure she is born with her own destiny.”
Shilpa Shetty is set to give birth by the month end. Any tips? “She is going to experience the best thing that life has brought her,” Lara promises, adding that her next big thrill is the summer Olympics in London. “We are all excited and will be there to cheer Mahesh.”
There’s plenty of travel in store, along with some films and lots of exciting new ventures that will be an extension of the Lara Dutta and Heal With Lara brands. As part of the latter, she will be coming up with a DVD on prenatal yoga exercises which will be distributed by production partner Saregama and will be launched next week.
Says Lara, “We shot it over a period of two days and on location when I started my eighth month. I’m presently in the process of losing my post-pregnancy weight and if I can zero in on the right techniques, I’d love to share them with new moms.”www.google.gang.blogspot.com
